Biography
Ingunn Omholt is a full-time actress, background performer and model with about 12 years of acting experience. She started out in Montreal, Canada, working on non-union short films, web episodes, commercials, high-level community theatre and musical theatre, mostly in English, but also in French. In 2017 she moved to Toronto, in 2021 she became a full ACTRA member, and she is now focused on screen acting. Her acting education consists of a wide range of courses and classes, including a four-month full time diploma program at Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television Inc.

Acting and modeling is her second career. During the first part of her work life, she was a research scientist within the field of pulping and papermaking, with a background in chemical engineering. Her education, including a doctorate, is from Norway, her country of origin, and she worked there until 2000. Then she got a similar position at FPInnovations (current name), an industry research institute near Montreal. The institute later downsized, and her position was eliminated in 2009. In 2012 she completed a BA with honors in philosophy at Concordia University. From then on, her life has centered on acting and modeling.

Curiosity about life and how people at all times have dealt with the world around them, as well as a fascination with cinematic storytelling, are what motivate her professional journey. She grew up with story books and developed photography as a hobby later on. This plays into her understanding of stories, imagining of characters and of visual impacts. She enjoys exploring nature, and Toronto's neighborhoods, staying physically fit and socially and emotionally connected.
